How to Be Generous – Sermon Series
Series Theme: We’ve probably all heard that Christians should be financially generous. But have you ever stopped to think “how”? What are the steps you can take to develop generosity in your life and become a more generous person toward others.
October 3- Be Rich
The first step to being able to give, is to have something to give. Many of us might tell ourselves, if I were rich I’d be generous. What if I told you that you already are rich, and that God has given very specific commands to those in this world who are rich.
1 Timothy 6:17-19
New Revised Standard Version
17 As for those who in the present age are rich, command them not to be haughty, or to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but rather on God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 18 They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share, 19 thus storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of the life that really is life.
