September 4, 2022 – Inside Out: On Anger

John 2:13-16

Red face, shaking hands, rising blood pressure. You know the symptoms. You’ve either seen someone get mad like this, or maybe you yourself have gotten this frustrated. In fact, you may be thinking of that one family member who never fails to get your blood boiling right now. But doesn’t the Bible say not to be angry? What exactly are we supposed to do with the red emotions we sometimes feel? Let’s dive into anger this week, as we continue in our Inside Out series.

John 2:13-16

Jesus Clears the Temple Courts

13 When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. 15 So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. 16 To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!”
