Hey Friends,

This past Sunday was a great day of worship as our Youth led us in song, prayer, and by sharing a glimpse into their lives. If you weren’t able to be with us, go back and watch the services- you will be blessed!

This coming Sunday we are beginning a new sermon series based on the questions you’ve been submitting. We may not be able to answer every single one, but hopefully we’ll be able to at least touch on the major topics.

So, this week, we’ll be answering all your questions about Heaven. Questions like, “Will we know each other?,” “What will we look like?,” “Will our pets be there?”

Don’t forget this Sunday is also Blessing of the Backpacks. We want all our students and teachers to bring their school bags to worship. We’ll be giving everyone a bag tag to carry with you this year and having a special time of prayer!

Looking ahead, August 10th we are resuming our Wednesday Night Meals with a Church Wide Potluck! Bring your favorite side or dessert to share! We’ll start eating at 5:15 and we will have classes and activities for all ages at 6:00 p.m.

On Wednesday nights in August, I’m going to be teaching a class on the History and Theology of Methodism. There is a lot of anxiety around the future of Methodism, but often the vision of the future is shaped by what has happened in the past. This class is intended for everyone, whether you were born a Methodist, or have no idea why we keep talking about some guy named Wesley, I hope you join us. I promise it’s not a boring history class!

Finally, be on the lookout for an updated Sunday School listing. We are doing some reshuffling of adult and kids classes. We’re excited that more and more people are plugging into a Sunday School, and would love to encourage each of you to find a small group to grow. Classes will be meeting in their new rooms starting August 14.

It’s going to be a great fall!

Grace and Peace,
