MESSAGE FROM RICKY
Hey Friends,
It was great to see our church full of kids and students this past Sunday for blessing of the backpacks. As they, and our teachers and administrators, start back to school this week they will carry with them our prayers and a nifty bag tag with the scripture, “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13).
Looking ahead to this week, I hope you are planning on joining us this Wednesday night for a Potluck dinner! Doors to the Family Life Center open at 5:00, so bring your favorite dish or dessert! We will also be launching our fall programs and classes for all ages. We’ll have a guide to hand out so you can see all that is available. Classes and groups will begin at 6:00pm.
I’ll be teaching a 3 week class called “Methodism Deep Dive.” We’ll look at the history of our church, the theological beliefs we hold, and the way we organize ourselves around the world. If you’ve been a Methodist your whole life, or have no idea what a “Wesley” is, this class is for you!
