Dear Friends,

“To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1

This Fall marked six years since our family joined First Methodist Clinton! I have served the church as Director of College Ministry, Associate Pastor, Connection Pastor, and, most recently, Pastor of Spiritual Formation. Through each of these seasons, you have loved us well.

Like so many of you, this year has brought a shift in both responsibilities and priorities within our family. Victor and I became “crisis homeschoolers” due to the pandemic, while also both continuing to work full time. God called me to ministry at First Methodist Clinton six years ago; I also know that He is now calling me to a season of ministry within my own family, as I take on the lead role of homeschooling Mason. For that reason, my last day on staff will be December 18, 2020.

It has been a privilege to serve this church, especially under the leadership of Ricky James. His positive contributions to First Methodist and to the Kingdom cannot be overstated. We are fortunate to have him as our Senior Pastor. And I am so very proud of the hardworking staff we have in place. I want to also express my thanks to the Staff Parrish Relations Committee for their continued support and encouragement.

I am grateful for the opportunity I have had to serve as staff and clergy at First Methodist Clinton. Our family remains committed members of this congregation. We look forward to this new season with you!

With appreciation,
Sharonda Medina
