MESSAGE FROM RICKY

Dear Friends,

I am so excited about this week for two great reasons!

First, I’m looking forward to our Burgers and Bingo fellowship dinner tonight! After so many months, we are finally able to gather again as a church family and do what Methodists love to do: eat! I’m grateful for the cook team (who stayed hard at work during the pandemic cooking meals for our homebound). I’m looking forward to the fun of playing bingo and laughing together again. If you haven’t signed up (or for some reason don’t like burgers?) feel free to come if you just want to play bingo and visit with folks!

Second, on Sunday evening we have a special Charge Conference to approve Albert Williams as a candidate for ordination in the United Methodist Church. Albert is a member (and son of Shirley Jane) who has answered the call of God to full time ministry. Our Superintendent, Dr. Stephen Cook, will be there to preside at this special time of celebration and affirmation. We will gather in the sanctuary at 6:00 p.m. and all are invited. 

Gathering around fellowship tables and celebrating a call to ministry! This is a great week and wonderful way to start the summer. I hope to see you sometime this week!
