MESSAGE FROM RICKY

I have the privilege of serving on the Board of Ordained Ministry for our Annual Conference. This is the group charged with interviewing potential new United Methodist ministers for service across the state of Mississippi. 

This week, we’ll be meeting 19 women and men who have said yes to God’s call and have offered themselves to ministry in our Annual Conference. I’m always energized and encouraged when I hear their stories and the ministry they have already been doing, long before they get the title of “Reverend.” 

I invite you to pray for these candidates and the churches they will serve. Also, pray for me and the other members of the Board that we may be guided into best decision for each candidate.

Also, I’d love to have you join us at our weekly Lenten “Un-lunch” each Tuesday at NOON. I look forward to this time of study, worship and prayer. No food, this year, but I promise the day is coming soon when we’ll be able to break bread together as a church family!
