MESSAGE FROM RICKY
Dear Friends,
What a wonderful weekend here at First United Methodist Church! Our gym was full of people and treasures to sell! While I don’t have a final count of how much was raised, I can tell by the smiles of the money counters that it was a huge success! Thanks to all the volunteers who put in MANY hours to pull it all off. You have earned a much deserved break! Thanks to everyone who donated your stuff for this worthy cause!
Sunday morning worship was also wonderful as we celebrated our Mothers, and welcomed a new child into the faith through the waters of baptism. Eliza Kate Van Etten, daughter of Austin and Jessie Van Etten, was presented this Sunday. I love celebrating the gift of new life! Thanks be to God!
This coming Sunday, I hope you join us for our Baccalaureate service celebrating our graduating seniors. Please note, we will have one combined service at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Adult Sunday school classes may choose to meet at 9:00 a.m., however the Kids Ministry and Youth Ministry will resume classes on May 22nd. Please do stop by the gym to see table displays celebrating the accomplishments of our graduates!
