MESSAGE FROM RICKY

Dear Friends,

This past weekend was full of significant life events in our church! We celebrated the wedding of a wonderful couple, welcomed another sweet child into the faith through Holy Baptism, and gathered to bear witness to the faith of a dear saint who has gone home to be with her Jesus. Sometimes, with all that’s going on in the world, it’s good to be reminded of what is truly important: family, faith, and our firm believe that in Jesus life never ends.

Looking ahead to next weekend, I wanted to let you know that I’ll be out of town this week through Sunday. I know that lots of folks will be traveling now that school is out and Memorial Day is coming up. But, if you are in town make sure you worship with us as Rev. Erin Hicks, our college pastor, will be closing out our sermon series on the Book of Hebrews. And don’t forget, even if you are out of town you can still join us online!

One last thing, on June 5, we will collect our annual offering supporting the Suzanne Elaine Shaw Memorial Scholarship. This endowed scholarship was established by the Shaw Family in memory of their beloved daughter and sister. The scholarship supports college students preparing for careers in healthcare or ministry. We are grateful for the generosity of the Shaw family and the opportunity to participate with them. Be on the lookout in future newsletters on how to apply for this scholarship.

Grace and Peace,
Ricky
