Dear Friends,

In spite of all the uncertainty of the weather, our annual Garage Sale went off without a hitch! (Well, maybe just a few hitches!) Thank you to all of our volunteers who pulled together and made this year’s sale a great success! And thank you to everyone who donated your treasures!

Also thank you to everyone who donated in honor of Beverly Yeates at this weekend’s blood drive. The technicians were overwhelmed by the numbers of people who kept showing up!

With Confirmation, the garage sale, a blood drive, United Nights, and new members, John and Diana Speed, joining the First Methodist congregation this past Sunday, we’ve had a great start to October! Our church is not just surviving the COVID pandemic, we’re thriving!

Your generosity is an essential part of what makes all of this possible. Throughout October, we’re emphasizing stewardship and asking everyone to prayerfully consider what your financial commitment for 2021 will be. Every Sunday, we’ll be blessed by stewardship speakers giving witness to the importance the church plays in our lives, and we’ll be sending out a special brochure highlighting the impact your giving has made in 2020.

On October 25th, you’ll be invited to turn in a commitment card, indicating how you plan to support our missions and ministries in the coming year. While we are all aware that there is still much uncertainty in our world, the one thing that remains certain is that God is with us, and that makes all the difference!

Grace and Peace,
Ricky
