Life is full of transition and change. And with change comes challenges. It’s inevitable! Over the next three weeks, as we as a church prepare to welcome a new senior pastor, we will investigate the lives of three people in the Bible, and study together how they adapted to both the changes and challenges that they were handed, and the ways that they grew through seasons of transition.

Transition is a word that those familiar with modern church culture are used to hearing. Simply put, humanity must deal with change. It is a natural part of life. And to be sure, transition is not easy. Change is hard. In Genesis, God calls Abram to make a big change in his life, and Abram obeys! But that doesn’t mean this transition is smooth sailin’. The Call of Abram
12 The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.
2 “I will make you into a great nation,
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.[a]
