Local Missions

Bethlehem Center  – serves low-income families and individuals in the Jackson area through affordable  quality childcare, a free income tax assistance program, a counseling center, and community development initiatives.
Mississippi Conference – Part of the West Jackson district, these apportionments are used for missions locally and internationally.
Boy Scouts – This troop is supported by FUMC Clinton. The mission of the Boy Scouts is to prepare young men to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
The Good Shepherd Center – provides low-cost daycare for children, also provides medical care and education services.
Stewpot/Billy Brumfield House – a homeless shelter and meal resource located in downtown Jackson.
Center for Violence Prevention, Pearl – A full-service organization to meet the needs of victims of domestic violence, rape, and sexual assault, including emergency shelter, therapy, case management, and safety planning for clients, in addition to providing services to offenders to try and break the cycle of domestic violence.
Kairos Prison Ministry– Bringing Christ’s love and forgiveness to all incarcerated individuals, their families, and those who work with them.
Clinton Community Christian Corporation – a  thrift shop and food bank for people in need in the Clinton area.
Methodist Children’s Home– An orphanage and foster home program which has provided care to Mississippi’s most vulnerable children and families for more than a century.
United Methodist Hour – a statewide television ministry

International Missions

Beise Missionary Support  – Based in Cape Girardeau, MO, Jim works as Regional Consultant for the Mission Society, to coach and provide strategies for new missionaries.
Mellon Missionary Support – Since 2009, Alli and the Hard Places Community have worked to rescue and care for children caught in the child sex trade in Phnom Pehn, Cambodia.
Christian World Missions – A group based in Starkville, MS, which supports church building in Africa, an orphanage in India, evangelism and VBS for over 5000 kids.

Carlson– The Carlson’s serve with One Mission Society at the World Headquarters in Indiana. Greg is on the Missionary Care team. His passion in ministry is encouraging and coaching missionaries in Latin America for healthy relationships with God, themselves, and others. Shirley leads World Intercessors to saturate the OMS global mission with Spirit-anointed prayer. They have served with OMS for 30 years in church planting and discipleship in Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Russia and Uruguay. Greg says, “My faith was nurtured through the ministries of FUMC Clinton where I grew up, and the fruit of my disciples is an enduring outflow of the ministry and prayers of my home church.”

Mercy Plate– A ministry of Mercy Plate Church in Veracruz, Nicaragua founded by Sigard Monroe.  The ministry provides meals for senior citizens.

Nigeria– Rev. Simon Ernyi pastor, church planter, mission minded ministry. His ministry, through our gifts, has built churches, drilled water wells, reached out to the local villages in many ways.
