October is a traditional time for church stewardship and commitment campaigns, a time to “re-up” so to speak. What if this October, we took a long look at our own faith and our call to “Re” in every aspect of our lives?

October 18- Re:Concile- 2 Corinthians 5:17-19

Paul says that God is working in the world to reconcile people, to forgive sin, and to heal brokenness. He then makes the bold claim, that God has entrusted to us (his followers) that same task: to be ministers of reconciliation. Which means we have to give up some of our old ways and become new creations. It’s tough work, but it literally saves lives.

2 Corinthians 5:17-19
New Revised Standard Version

17 So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself,[a] not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us.
