MESSAGE FROM RICKY

This past weekend was full of so many reasons to be grateful. First Methodist had a great showing in the Yule Run with lots of members participating and our church sponsoring the water station on the course. We then all enjoyed the annual Christmas Parade and shared in the joy of that community event. On Sunday morning we had our largest in-person attendance since Easter! It was great to see so many people back in worship! Then Sunday night our Family Life Building was packed to capacity with women from around our community for our Ladies Night Out event! There was great musical entertainment, dancing, comedy (kinda), and an uplifting guest speaker. These women raised nearly $9,000 to support our youth ministry, and I’m told that is a recent record!

With such a great weekend behind us you might be asking yourself, how do we top that? Well, hopefully you are planning on joining us this Wednesday Night for dinner as we celebrate our church’s 190th Birthday! We’ll be presenting our 50 year membership pins to our beloved saints, sharing a little video blessing, and welcoming some special guests. I do hope you will join us for a great evening of fun and memories.

Then, this coming Sunday, our Sanctuary Choir and Musicians will present their annual Christmas Program during the 9:00am worship service. The Sanctuary will be adorned with poinsettias and the room full of the Sounds of the Season. This would be a great Sunday to invite a friend looking for a bit of the Christmas spirit this year. It will be a blessing for us all!

Grace and Peace,
Ricky
