MESSAGE FROM RICKY

Dear Friends,

I want to share with you the news that Cindy Livengood will be leaving the church staff at the end of July. Cindy is moving back home to Missouri to be closer to her mother. We are sad to see her leave, but excited that she’ll be able to spend more time with and help take care of her mom. Cindy has done so much for our church members, our facilities, and our staff. She will be missed greatly! I hope that you’ll take some time to tell her thank you and to wish her well on her journey home.

Speaking of journeys, this past week we began our sermons series: Road Trip. This is a look at several stories of traveling in the early church, which helps us make sense of our own journey of faith. This coming Sunday we’ll be looking at the “Road to Gaza”, featuring Philip the Deacon and a man from Ethiopia. It’s perhaps not as well known as other stories, so it might be helpful for you to read ahead. The passage is Acts 8:26-40.
