MESSAGE FROM RICKY

Dear Friends,

Monday more than 60 kids and almost as many volunteers filled the Family Life Building with laughter, dancing, and praise as we began our Vacation Bible School. After having to miss last year due to COVID, it is refreshing to the soul to see these children having so much fun. This is yet another sign of the resurgence and resilience of our church community.

You may also know that each year our VBS kids raise money for a mission project. This year’s project is the Methodist Children’s Home. In fact, it becomes a competition between the boys and girls to see who can out raise each other. If you want to play along, feel free to bring your donation by the church this week before Friday morning!

Finally, please spread the word the we are receiving applications for the The Suzanne Elaine Shaw Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to First United Methodist students who are pursuing degrees in health-related fields or in full-time Christian vocations. Interested students can find the application link below (scroll down). We are asking scholarship to be submitted by June 30th.
