MESSAGE FROM RICKY

Did you know that Methodists believe in Saints? We do! But we’re just more expansive with the term. We believe that everyone who has left this life in the faith of Jesus now dwell in the fullness of the presence of God–They are Saints!

And so, this coming Sunday we will celebrate them on All Saints Day. This is a day when we name and remember those members of our congregation who have passed away during the last 12 months. We will call their name, light a candle in their memory, and we will gather around the Lord’s Table to celebrate the feast of the Resurrection. In addition to the members of our congregation, there will be a time when everyone will be invited to lift the name of any loved one in their life that you would like to remember on this day.

Our faith firmly fixes our hope on Jesus, through his death and resurrection opens the way to life eternal. This Sunday, we will remind ourselves of that truth, remember the Saints, and rejoice that for this in Jesus, death ends in life!

Grace and Peace,
Ricky
