MESSAGE FROM RICKY

Dear Friends,

We had a wonderful day of worship this past Sunday. The highlight for me was baptizing Audrey Parsons, the daughter of Ben and Nikki Parsons, as well as welcoming David and Cindy Miles into the membership of the church. It is always a blessing to celebrate children and to have fellow disciples join us on the journey of faith. And this always prompts me to offer, if you have never been baptized or are interested in joining our church, I’d love to talk with you. Just email, call the office, or stop me in the hall!

Speaking of new beginnings, I’m also excited to share that starting this week we have a new staff member joining our team. Laura Marie Campbell starts this week as our church receptionist. Laura Marie is from Clinton, a graduate of Mississippi College, and has worked in customer service and management for several years. She has two kids in our Weekday Ministry Program and we look forward to having her on board. She’ll be the first point of contact for our members and visitors to the church office, but help her out by remembering to introduce yourself if you call or stop by!

Finally, the past few days the COVID numbers have given some hope that this latest surge is beginning to plateau and recede. But I know that many of you are taking the needed precautions for yourself and worshiping with us from home. One aspect of that however, is that you may have missed the opportunity to receive Holy Communion. Our home communion team would love to come and serve you if you would like to receive the elements. Call the church office, or reach out to me or Dave Steveline personally and we’ll be sure to add you to the list. We want to be able to extend the table of God’s grace to all who desire!

Grace and Peace,
Ricky
